The Baylor College of Medicine portal team is an interdisciplinary team comprised of software engineers,
bioinformaticians, and laboratory and research experts in the development and use of patient-derived
xenografts (PDX). These three teams have jointly worked to design and implement a software portal which
supports the management of PDX models and the dissemination of these models to the biomedical research community.
Initially prototyped with breast cancer, the portal now includes PDX models representing many cancer types and
will be expanding to include data from PDX teams across Texas. The portal team efforts are funded with generous
support from the state of Texas in the form of a Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas
(CPRIT #RP220646) grant. Please feel free to
contact us with questions regarding use of and or participation in this portal.
